EVERY DOG, EVERY DAY…LET THEM PLAY! – The impact of dog play groups

January 25, 2017 By Cheryl Aguiar |

dog play groups

It’s more than just fun and games, dog play groups save lives! After visiting over 170 shelters across the United States and Canada, the team at Dogs Playing for Life™ has done more than have a lot of fun playing with dogs. Aimee Sadler, Founder and CEO will share case studies and evidence that playgroups improve the quality of life of dogs and their caretakers. Sadler, who has been directly involved with the development of canine enrichment and behavior programs in animal shelters since 1998, will also share how shelters across the country have effectively used play groups to facilitate better adoption matching, more accurate sociability assessments, and improved shelter operations. Dogs live to play…we let them play to live!

In this webinar, Aimee will share:

  • Case studies of the impact of play groups on Quality of Life for shelter dogs and shelter workers
  • How to use dog play groups at a shelter to make better adoption matches
  • How to use dog play groups at a shelter to more accurate measure sociability
  • How to use dog play groups at a shelter to improve overall shelter operations

Speaker: Aimee Sadler
and Monique Udell, PhD
