DIFFERENT NEEDS, DIFFERENT BREEDS: Dog Training the Different Breeds

Purpose: To learn the physical and behavioral characteristics of the different dog breed groups and how this information will help you to adapt your dog training based on the breed of dog.

Course Information: This course will cover the 7 internationally recognized breed groups, including their physical and behavioral characteristics and include information about how to

adapt your dog training to the different breeds and why. There is a 20 question quiz at the end

of this course that must be completed and passed by at least 75% required for Certificate of Completion or CEU’s.

Prerequisites: None

What you can expect to learn from this course:

  • Understand the differences between the breeds and what they need
  • Learn to categorize dogs into groups and then breeds based on their physical structure and behaviour
  • Familiarize the student to characteristics that differentiate dogs as members of different breeds.
