Problem Behaviors-Theory and Skills Using Positive Methods

Purpose: This course will teach both a novice dog trainer how to use positive methods to change problem behavior.

Course Information: This course will teach students how to use positive methods to work with common problem behaviors. This course does not address aggression or aggressive dogs. The top problem behaviors this course will address are jumping, house-training, pulling on the leash, excited or fearful urination, too excited with visitors, barking, digging, hates being left at home, bothering its people during dinner, guarding food, getting in the garbage (or places he is not supposed to be), and stealing food from counters.

NOTE: You will be required to send your Instructor video homework.

Prerequisites:Positive Techniques Training Kit (REQUIRED…see below).

What you can expect to learn from this course:

  • Discover myths from truths around dog behavior.
  • Learn why a dog does what he does.
  • Learn how you can end problem behaviors through positive reinforcement.
  • Learn the bond positive reinforcement will bring to the dog.
  • Knowledge in how to stop any unwanted future behaviors.

NOTE: There is an additional $130.00 cost for a Positive Techniques Training Kit that is REQUIRED for this course. The proper tools are essential for the proper results. The Kit includes the following special training tools to be shipped to you after you register:

2-clickers
1-training lead
1-harness
1-limited slip collar
3-stuffable food toys
1-Ending Problem Behavior Instruction Manual
You will be expected to have the materials by the second session. Details to order will be sent after registration. NOTE: This is an additional $130 to the course cost below.
