Purpose: To provide the information needed for a critical discussion concerning the origin of the dog and the development of the domestic dog.
Course Information: Using easily understood information from biology, genetics, animal behavior, and anthropology, this course on the origin of the dog invites critical examination of the support for the two most likely theories about the origin of the domestic dog. The development of distinct breeds from early generalized land races is also discussed.
Student Testimonial: I love this class, I can’t tell you how many ‘Duh’ moments I’ve had. I never got the whole wolf/dog thing, never made much sense to me, but its great to have someone finally spell it out. Holly
