Purpose: Prepare your dog to take the Canine Good Citizen Test.
Course Information: The purpose of the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test and program is provide a venue to ensure our dogs can be relied upon to be a good citizen of the community. There is no competition for the Canine Good Citizen Test, it is a pass/fail test. However, both purebred and mixed breeds can achieve this title and are often more welcome in public settings. Many working dogs, such as assistance dogs or therapy dogs are required to earn the Canine Good Citizen title. This is a Canine Good Citizen training course. Train your own dog without expensive travel to pass the Canine Good Citizen test. Clicker training is not a prerequisite skill but a positive attitude is! We use all positive training techniques to teach you Canine Good Citizen training. NOTE: Correction-based training methods or equipment are not acceptable in this class.
