Purpose: To understand the relationship between how the canine body is composed, how it works and the impact massage therapy will have on these systems.Course Information: Detailed training in canine anatomy and physiology; canine biomechanics and kinesiology; understanding the relationship between anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology and massage therapy in dogs. The course involves the use of three textbooks used by the Veterinary Nursing Program in the U.K. and 18 hours of online instruction. The course is designed to give the students the necessary information in order to understand the relationship between how the body is composed and how it works as a system. Knowledge level upon successful completion on the course will be equivalent to that of a Veterinary Nurse/Technician. Students will be provided with a free comprehensive manual.
