Anita Case is the proprietor of Pet Bath & Beyond, a grooming, retail and multiple pet-related services shop located in central Oregon’s coastal town of Newport. According to Anita: “Education has been the foundation of my success and to pay it forward, I participate as a mentor through the Animal Behavior College for Dog Groomers. To my credit, I have helped train 5 aspiring students transition into full-time groomers.
My formal education in grooming began at Tara Lara Academy of K9 Hair Design in Portland, Oregon. Following that, I continued to stay current by learning about up and coming trends as well as by refining my skills and honing my techniques through certification courses. Over the course of my career, I have completed training from the following credentialed educators:
- International Pet Groomers Association
- National Dog Groomers Association
- Paragon Dog Grooming Course
- Smart Pets International
I’ve traveled to Greenville, South Carolina for a 2-week hands-on intensive offered at the National Cat Groomers Institute of America. In addition, I am a regular attendee of annual (Dog Groomer Expo/Conferences) hosted in Tacoma, WA.
Pet Bath & Beyond is a dynamic hub for dogs, cats, their handlers and people shopping for their pets. When things get a little crazy, (which happens in a grooming shop!), I put my T Touch practitioner cap on and help nervous dogs relax which creates a positive environment for pets and people!
In 2014 and 2015 I was voted “Best Groomer” by the Readers Choice Award.”
