Since 1990, BrightHaven (www.brighthaven.org) has offered sanctuary and hospice to hundreds of senior (16+ years of age), sick or disabled animals. At BrightHaven when an animal enters hospice care our expectation is that the animal will have a painless, loving, peaceful journey followed by a painless, loving, peaceful & natural death.
In this online course on animal wellness, animal hospice and natural dying, you will learn how BrightHaven’s Menu for Healing, which focuses on achieving optimal balance of body, mind and spirit at every life stage, helps animals live well before and during hospice care, which will help you to better understand how they die painless, loving and peaceful deaths.

About BrightHaven and the Instructors:
In The BrightHaven Guide to Animal Hospice series BrightHaven Co-Founders Gail and Richard Pope share what they’ve learned since 1990 about supporting animals to live the best life possible and to complete the circle of life in peace and love.
They lovingly share their experiences, resources and tips gleaned from working with animals of all ages, particularly senior (16+ years of age), disabled and chronically ill animals. Gail and Richard received the prestigious Jefferson Award in 2013 in recognition of their dedicated service to this very vulnerable animal population.
For the animals, BrightHaven is also a prolific animal rescue and halfway house organization. For the community, it’s an education and resource center, specifically designed to help people help animals.
