Solutions and Strategies for Aggressive Behavior in Dogs

Speaker: Ken McCort , CPDT-KA

Description: Ken McCort presents information about solutions and strategies to address aggressive behavior in dogs. He discusses the comparative definitions of types of canine aggression, as well as strategies and solutions for working with aggressive dogs.  He uses photo illustrations allowing participants to learn to differentiate between the body language signals of these differing types of aggression. Ken discusses the importance of management and different ways to manage dogs exhibiting aggressive behavior. He explains what counter-conditioning is and how to apply it in aggressive dog cases. Sometimes the best way to work with aggression in dogs is to actually put the aggressive behavior “on cue.” Ken has years of experience as a behavior consultant who has worked with many aggression cases.
