Purpose: To learn specialized massage skills to deal with a wide variety of health issues. In addition, you will be given assignments and guidance of your case studies to enhance your learning.

Course Info: The advanced canine massage course develops specialized massage skills to deal with a wide variety of health issues. Students will be introduced to the following specialized massage skills – acupressure, sports massage, lymphatic drainage massage, reflexology and the use of colour therapy. The course also introduces students to effective business development and sustainability skills and provides a wide variety of information on small business resources available through local, regional and national governments and financial institutions. The course also helps students perform 40 case studies.
What you can expect in this Course:
- Fifteen hours of online instruction over ten weeks in the advanced canine massage course that develops specialized massage skills to deal with a wide variety of health issues. It also helps students prepare for opening their own clinic. Finally, it is an opportunity for students to receive assistance in completing the case study requirements in order to complete the certification criteria.
- A unique opportunity to come back to each lesson with questions, concerns and insights after completing your homework assignments.
- Homework assignments that ensure you master the material. Students should prepare to complete 6 hours of homework each week.
- DVD for Certification students with all massage techniques
- Manual for Certification students with all information and massage techniques.
- Students must successfully complete the Canine Anatomy and Physiology Course AND the Introductory Canine Massage Course before enrolling in the Advanced Canine Massage Course.

Instructor: Sigle (Sheila) Skeries has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in educational psychology with 20 years teaching experience and over 30 years experience in the animal industry. A successful junior career on the hunter / jumper circuit in Ontario and throughout the USA followed by upper level Eventing training in England, qualification as a British Horse Society Intermediate
Instructor, and the management of equine facilities in breeding, racing, training and showing ensures a well rounded and knowledgeable approach not only to rehabilitation but the specific needs and demands of a wide variety of disciplines. Sigle’s canine partners are St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs and they participate in a number of canine activities including tracking, agility, freestyle and trick training. Her qualifications in therapeutic massage have been secured through training at The Complementary Therapies School in Gerrards Cross, England and successful completion of the ITEC licensing examinations. She is a member of the British Complementary Medicine Association, Independent Professional Therapists International and the Guild of Complementary Practitioners. Sigle has successfully completed her training in Herbal Medicine through the East West School of Herbal Medicine based in Ben Lamond, California.
