Frequently Asked Questions:
How do the classes work? You will email us at E-Training for Dogs and register for an Individual or Semi Private Session. The for first time attendees PRIOR to your class, you will be REQUIRED to meet for a short lesson (30 minutes) in how to video, capture the video, edit your video and send it to us so that Connie can actually SEE you and your dog working together. You will also be introduced to the online learning environment.
Are the classes recorded? Your class(es) will be recorded and a link will be sent to you so you may review the class as often as you like for up to 30 days.
What kind of equipment will I need? You will need a computer, access to the internet, and a telephone. You will also need access to a digital video camera and the ability to capture video on your computer.
Does this take a lot of technical “know-how”? It does take some technical knowledge, but this knowledge is not difficult and can be learned very quickly and at no cost. It is for this reason we require first time attendees to attend a short “how to” seminar and to make sure you will be ready for class when Connie is meeting with you. The costs and time necessary to travel and take time off work versus learning to video, edit and send a video online (NO DVD’s!) is no comparison. The first time you do it will be the hardest, but you WILL be able to do it. After that, you will find this type of learning and its benefits (abilty to review the recordings; no travel; no time off work; help WHEN you need it) far outweigh the small learning curve in the beginning.
